YORK, Pa. (WHTM) – A man accused of robbing York County banks while wearing women’s clothes is facing additional charges for a bank robbery in Springettsbury Township last month.
Eric S. Reaves, 46, of York, was charged Thursday with robbery, theft, and receiving stolen property for taking money from the M&T Bank in the 1000 block of Haines Road on July 27, according to court records.
Reaves was arrested Wednesday when police say he tried to rob the Americhoice Federal Credit Union in York Township. York Area Regional police, suspecting Reaves in two other York Township robberies, said in a complaint that they saw him approaching the bank in a dress and wig and phoned employees to lock the doors.
Reaves took off running but was arrested a short distance from the bank.
Police believe he also robbed the Northwest Savings Bank on South Queen Street on Oct. 28 and the York Traditions Bank on St. Charles Way on July 16.
