HARRISBURG, Pa. (WHTM) – Harrisburg police said a woman was robbed and raped at gunpoint in her apartment Monday, just one day after moving in with her family.
It happened Monday morning at an apartment on Kittatinny Street while the victim’s children were home.
Police said a man, described as heavy set and 6′ tall, with graying hair and a short beard, came through the front door with a gun.
Investigators said the victim pleaded with the man not to hurt her or her kids, but the man took her to another room and raped her.
Police said the man stole money and a necklace when he left and ran off.
Police said he was wearing a gray shirt and blue jeans and they believe the man sells sneakers on the streets.
