YORK, Pa. (WHTM) – Starbucks says it will add about 300 new full-time jobs over the next three to five years once it expands its York distribution center.
The company plans to expand the facility by more than 1.2 million square feet. It said the new addition will make York the largest Starbucks distribution center in the world when it is fully operational in mid-September.
The York distribution center will support deliveries to more than 3,000 Starbucks stores across the northeastern United States and parts of Canada and Europe.
The distribution center is adjacent to Starbucks York Roasting Plant, one of the largest coffee roasting plants in the world.
Starbucks said the plant employs more than 500 people and roasts over 3 million pounds of coffee each week.
