State officials urge parents to vaccinate children before school starts

HARRISBURG, Pa. (WHTM) – The Pennsylvania departments of Health and Education are urging parents to get their children vaccinated before the start of the school year.

Officials are launching the “Don’t Wait. Vaccinate” program, saying immunizations play a critical role in the health and safety of all school-aged children.

The Department of Health is holding vaccination clinics throughout August.
