Pennsylvania to study paid family leave programs

HARRISBURG, Pa. (WHTM) – Pennsylvania’s Department of Labor and Industry will study paid family leave programs thanks to a federal grant.

The agency was awarded $250,000 from the U.S. Department of Labor’s Women’s Bureau.

The money will be used to find options for implementing paid family and medical leave in Pennsylvania.

The department says nearly 2.9 million Pennsylvanians would benefit from a paid family leave program.
