HARRISBURG, Pa. (WHTM) – Lottery sales are set to debut at Pennsylvania liquor stores Wednesday.
The Pennsylvania Liquor Control Board plans on talking about lottery sales and several other changes coming to wine and spirits stores at the grand opening of a new premium store in Manchester Township, York County.
Lottery sales are now allowed at liquor stores after the passage of Act 39, a new law that went into effect on Monday. The law allows only for the sale of self-service games like instant tickets.
The new law also extends operation hours. Stores are no longer required to be closed on holidays. It also lifts restrictions on Sunday operations. Stores can now be open from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.
