Gunman with umpire mask robs Dover Township store

DOVER, Pa. (WHTM) – A robber was wearing a baseball umpire’s mask and armed with a silver revolver when he held up a Turkey Hill convenience store in Dover Township early Saturday.

IMG_20160806_052642956The robber demanded money from the register, $20 worth of lottery tickets, and Newport cigarettes from the store at 2820 Carlisle Road, but fled before a clerk handed over the cigarettes, Northern York County Regional police said.

The robbery occurred around 4:45 a.m.

Police have released photos of the suspect. He has tattoos on both arms and was wearing a gray v-neck t-shirt, gray sneakers, black sunglasses, and black removable sleeves over the tattoos on his forearms.

Investigators said it appears he had a vehicle parked on Grandview Avenue.

Anyone who may have seen the vehicle or the suspect is asked to call the police department at 717-292-3647.
