Police investigate three shootings in York City

YORK CITY, Pa. (WHTM) – Police are investigating three shootings in York City Saturday morning, which ended with one person dead.

Police responded to a shooting on the 200 block of South Pine Street at 7:47 AM. When they got on scene, they discovered Eugene Brabham, 36, who had been shot twice. He was taken to York Hospital, where he later died from his injuries.

According to police, Brabham was involved in a dispute or was being robbed just prior to the shooting.

At 3:45 AM, a ten year-old boy was shot in the shoulder while inside his home.

Police say Marquez Jabar McCowan, 28, was at the rear of the home, on the 200 block of S. Penn Street, and began shooting. One of those shots hit the juvenile, who was taken to York Hospital and is in stable condition.

A warrant has been obtained for McCowan, but he is not yet in custody.

The first incident happened at 2:25 AM on the 200 block of S. George Street. Police say shots were fired inside a crowd. Officers didn’t find any victims, but one man did later drive himself to York Hospital. He was shot in the wrist, and is in stable condition. There is no word on if police have a suspect in this incident.
