LANCASTER, Pa. (WHTM) – A 25-year-old Lancaster Township woman is facing numerous charges after police say she struck several pedestrians and nearly struck several others in a hit-and-run outside the Chameleon Club.
Officers were called to the nightclub at 223 N. Water Street shortly after 2 a.m. Friday for a large fight. No one was fighting when the officers arrived, but they were told a woman in a car crashed into scaffolding on the sidewalk and tried to run over several people during a large disturbance.
No serious injuries were reported.
The officers found the woman at a home in the same block and witnesses identified her as the driver, police said. She faces counts including aggravated assault and reckless endangerment, but no official charges have been filed because the investigation is ongoing, police said.
Her name will not be released until charges are filed.
Anyone with information is asked to call Lancaster police at 717-735-3300 or Lancaster Crime Stoppers at 1-800-322-1913.
