Cameron Street in Harrisburg reopens following water main break

HARRISBURG, Pa. (WHTM) – A section of Cameron Street that was closed for a water main break is now open.

Cameron Street from Herr to Maclay streets closed Thursday before 11 a.m.

Water was gushing in the street so workers shut down Cameron Street from Herr Street all the way to Maclay.

According to a Capital Region Water spokesperson, crews located and removed the broken section of the pipe Thursday night, working to install new pipes.

The roadway reopened before 4 a.m. Friday.

A boil water advisory was issued to several customers on Cameron Street between Verbeke and Reily.
