The Substitute Teacher Service, or STS, is dedicated to providing school districts with a functional, cost-effective solution to their substitute professional and support personnel needs. They also give exposure to their employees in the many districts they service.
“Our guest teacher program is open to anyone who has earned a bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited college or university. Candidates must also meet all requirements mandated by the Department of Education and the State of Pennsylvania for working in any school district. These include all required background checks, clearances and credential verification. We ensure all of our employees meet these requirements,” tells JR Godwin.
“Many school districts across Pennsylvania are dealing with a substitute teacher shortage and struggle to fill their vacancies. We attract and retain qualified candidates by offering our employees numerous job benefits, such as unemployment during the summer months, 401(K), and so on, and hosting job fairs. We have some job fairs planned for local PA districts in the upcoming months to help them improve their recruitment.”
