HARRISBURG, Pa. (WHTM) – The 24th annual Pride Festival was held Saturday.
Five thousand people were in downtown Harrisburg for the festivities.
The festival promotes awareness and celebrates diversity among the LGBT community.
The theme this year was “Unity: It begins with us”.
Organizers say now is the time to come together.
“I think it’s wonderful that we can accept diversity here. I mean the festival is made up of lots of different groups and it really does speak volumes for people and opening up their minds”, said Andrew Campbell, Executive Vice President President of the Pride Festival.
The pride festival included vendors, food and live music.
