McGettigan says that Friends of Midtown has more than 530 members. He says that more than 70 are taking part in volunteer safety patrols. Priscilla Morales has lived in Midtown for two years. She is volunteering her time to help keep an eye on the neighborhoods. “We always walk in groups,” said Morales, “If we see anything suspicious, we will call the police.”
