PHILADELPHIA (WHTM) – People in Philadelphia are still talking about the historic nomination of Hillary Clinton by the Democratic Party Tuesday night.

Many Democrats said they are proud that a woman is finally the presidential nominee of a major party.

Hillary Clinton symbolically shattered the glass ceiling during the second night of the Democratic National Convention.

Governor Tom Wolf  announced Pennsylvania’s delegates during the roll call.

Michele Sellito, of Lower Paxton Township, is a Hillary Clinton delegate. She said she’s been waiting for this moment since 2008.

“It’s something to be a part of history. I think of my nieces who are 13,13, and 16 and I think that by the time they’re fully adults they will understand that a woman can be president of the United States, so it’s very meaningful,” Sellito said.

Some Bernie Sanders supporters weren’t happy with the outcome. Sellito said she knows how they feel and has reached out to many of them in the Midstate.
