GREEN BAY, Wis. (WBAY) – Here are six great uses for your cooler this summer.
1. Build an air-conditioner out of a Styrofoam cooler
There are a lot of plans for building an air-conditioner using a cooler but this one requires just a few inexpensive items and a cutting knife.

2. Make a floating cooler in 20 minutes
The price is right for keeping drinks close at hand.
3. Turn an ordinary cooler into a Yeti-like super cooler
As rugged as a $300 Yeti cooler? Maybe not. Cheaper? Oh yeah!
4. Build an ice-chest stereo
There are many plans on the Internet for cooler stereos. We liked this one for its portability and simplicity. Consider marine speakers (and good sealant) to make it more waterproof, then settle back and enjoy some cool tunes.

5. Cook corn in a cooler
You still have to boil the water on a stove or grill, but amaze your friends with this trick the next time you go camping.
6. Make your own Ecto-Cooler
Not the type of “cooler” as our other tips. This is a throwback to school lunches from the 1980’s.
