LEMOYNE, Pa. (WHTM) – A woman wanted on active warrants faces additional charges after police say she tried to use a personal stun gun on an officer.
Marguerite M. Phelps, 59, no fixed address, was charged with simple assault, resisting arrest, use or possession of an electronic incapacitation device, and prohibited offensive weapons, West Shore Regional police said.
Police said they were called to the West Shore Plaza on Monday because Phelps was loitering in and out of stores. The officers were investigating when they discovered the active warrants.
The officers were trying to take Phelps into custody when she used the stun gun without success, police said.
