2 accidentally shot on South Mountain

SOUTH MOUNTAIN, Pa. (WHTM) – Two men were transported to Chambersburg Hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries Tuesday afternoon after an accidental shooting on South Mountain.

State police Trooper Rob Hicks said the men were cutting wood in an area of Loop Road and one was unloading a pistol when the gun accidentally discharged.

One man was struck in the hand and the other was hit in his back, Hicks said.

The incident is still under investigation.
