Body found in Codorus Creek in York

YORK, Pa. (WHTM) – City police and the York County corner’s office are investigating the death of a man after his body was found Thursday afternoon in the Codorus Creek.

The man’s body was removed from the creek after authorities were called to the 200 block of West Philadelphia Street around 3:10 p.m.

Investigators said he has been identified, but they did not immediately release his name.

Police said the area under the Philadelphia Street bridge is frequented by homeless people. They said several belongings were found there, but it was not immediately clear whether any of the items belonged to the man.
