Lebanon VA evacuated, cleared after bomb threat

LEBANON, Pa. (WHTM) – Police searched a building at the Lebanon VA Medical Center for several hours Thursday morning after a bomb threat forced evacuations and interrupted care, but nothing suspicious was found.

Medical center spokesman Douglas Etter said the facility received the threat at around 8:30 a.m. The search ended just after noon.

Etter said all appointments in Building 17, which primarily houses the center’s outpatient offices, were canceled for the day and will be rescheduled.

However, if a veteran comes for their appointment, they will be seen.

Patients with questions about their appointments can call 717-272-6621 for more information.
