HARRISBURG, Pa. (WHTM) – Many years ago, the Harrisburg Heat indoor soccer team was a big deal around here.
Sellout crowds with great personalities and great teams, but the first franchise folded and then the new franchise struggled on and off the field.
Today, the new owner named his new coach. He’s former Baltimore Blast great Denison Cabral. One of indoor soccer’s all-time greats, he won five titles with Baltimore.
The all-time points leader in Baltimore Blast history, now he will retool a team that was pretty bad last season – one win and 18 losses – but there is a whole new outlook with the Heat: a new owner and what will be new players in trying to return the Heat to the glory days of the past.
