Good Day Gardening: Tropical Plants

The weather is certainly tropical so why not accommodate the garden? Brook Umberger of Hershey Gardens was back with us today to tell us about a few durable, beautiful tropical plants that can take advantage of the hot and humid air.

“Tropical plants can be a beautiful addition to a porch, patio or even indoors. Some act as outdoor nectar plants, good for attracting butterflies and hummingbirds,” tells Brooke.

You can see many varieties of tropical plants and more at the new Hershey Conservatory. The hours are from 9 am to 7 pm every day through Labor Day—with the exception of the Butterfly Atrium which lasts from 9 am to 6pm. Each week has something new and exciting to offer for kids as well.
