General Mills adds 2 Betty Crocker cake mixes to flour recall

HARRISBURG, Pa. (WHTM) – General Mills says two flavors of Betty Crocker cake mix have been added to a previously announced recall of flour that is potentially linked to an outbreak of E. coli.

The recall is for Betty Crocker Delights Super Moist Party Rainbow Chip Cake Mix and Betty Crocker Delights Super Moist Carrot Cake Mix.

No other General Mills or Betty Crocker mixes are included.

The Party Rainbow Chip mix has “Better if Used by” dates of 27AL2017, 08JN2017, and 09JN2017. For the carrot cake mix, the dates are 12APR2017, 13APR2017, 14APR2017, 28MAY2017, 29MAY2017, 30MAY2017, 07JUL2017, and 08JUL2017.

No illnesses reported to date have been connected to cake mix.

The recalled products should be thrown out. Full refunds are available at the point of purchase.
