CARLISLE, Pa. (WHTM) – The Carlisle Police Department responded to a report of a man with a gun in Carlisle on Friday.
Police went to the Quick Stop Deli at 601 West Louther Street where they found Christopher R. Schmuck at the front of the store.
Police said Schmuck had a concealed handgun in his waistband and was highly intoxicated.
According to police, Schmuck was trying to give gun safety instructions to two teenagers, and at one point the weapon had a live round in the chamber.
Schmuck did not have a license to carry a handgun.
He was charged with weapons violations, reckless endangerment, public drunkenness and disorderly conduct.
