SAFE HARBOR, Pa. (WHTM) – A Lancaster County man was arrested after police said a woman he didn’t know found him sleeping on her living room sofa.
Robert Sheets, 28, of Holtwood, was found to be under the influence of a controlled substance and in possession of several prescription pills not prescribed to him, Southern Lancaster County Regional police said.
Police said a 32-year-old woman who lives in Safe Harbor village arrived home from work June 21 to find a handwritten note on her door. The note read “Don’t be scared when you come in, Bob is here.” She entered the home and found Sheets asleep on the sofa.
Responding officers were able to wake Sheets after several attempts, police said.
Police found the victim’s boyfriend knows Sheets, but not that well. He had not spoken to him for some time, does not know how Sheets found out where he lives, and never gave him permission to be on the property.
Sheets was charged with criminal trespass and possession of a controlled substance. He was placed in Lancaster County Prison on $20,000 bail.
