Zachary E. Kuhn, 25, is charged with armed robbery and three counts each of simple assault and reckless endangerment, police said. Kuhn is also charged with one count of persons not to possess firearms.

An employee shot Kuhn three times Monday after police say he pulled a gun and demanded money and drugs from the Antietam Pharmacy on South Potomac Street.

Authorities said Kuhn violently and aggressively threatened employees and became further enraged when the money in the register wasn’t as much as he thought it would be.

He remained in York Hospital on Thursday. He was listed in critical but stable condition.
