More dining options coming to Second Street in Harrisburg

HARRISBURG, Pa. (WHTM) – The Capital Gastropub will officially open on Second Street in Harrisburg Friday.

Erik Sokhadze is one of the owners. He has several years of restaurant experience in other cities, including New York City. He says Harrisburg is an ideal location for what they are going to be offering.

“We want to bring a piece of the Big Apple here.” said Sokhadze, “We will also provide a bit of European flavor to our customers.”

Sokhadze says they will offer British and American food, including fish and chips, along with seafood, burgers, and steaks.

The pub offers plenty of space. The second floor is available for overflow and private parties. The third floor was turned into a rooftop garden.

Sokhadze says that his investment group will open up Bridge’s Social Club, across the street in a few months. He says that will be a totally different social experience that will feature a lot of island food on the menu.

He also says he is well aware that people are concerned about parking during the weekday. He hopes that the unique experience at both locations will attract people to the area.
