Two injured following today’s second shooting in Harrisburg

HARRISBURG, Pa. (WHTM) – Harrisburg police say an 18-year-old and 17-year-old male were hospitalized following a shooting this afternoon near 4th and Emerald streets.

The shooting comes after police responded to a report of shots fired earlier this morning near a playground in the city.

Officers said they could hear additional gunshots nearby upon arriving at the scene of Wednesday’s second incident.

The two victims are being treated at Harrisburg Hospital for a gunshot wound to the leg.

Anyone with information is asked to call the Harrisburg Bureau of Police Department at 717-558-6900.
