Dauphin County library launches summer programs for kids, adults

HARRISBURG, Pa (WHTM) The Dauphin County library is launching summer reading programs for both children and adults.

The summer reading club begins on June 13.

The kids reading book club is for children birth to 12 years old.

Participants should read or be read to for ten hours over the summer. Starting on July 1, participants should submit the first half of their reading log.

They will receive an Explore Your Community bag . On August 1, submit the rest of the log and receive a book, certificate and be entered into a contest to win a Kindle Fire Kids Edition.

The teen reading club is for ages 13-17. Participants who read, listen to or watch eight items between June 1 and August 31 can be entered into win a Kindle Fire or one of a variety of gift cards.
