Kashi recalls some granola products for listeria concern

Kashi is recalling certain granola products due a potential health risk related to sunflower seeds.

Kashi Trail Mix Chewy Granola Bars and Bear Naked Soft Baked Granola, Cinnamon + Sunflower Butter contain ingredients made from sunflower seeds that have the potential to be contaminated with Listeria monocytogenes.

The company has received no reports of illness.

The granola bars were sold in 6-count boxes and have “better if used by” dates of Jan. 4 or Jan. 7.

The granola was sold in 11-ounce pouches with “best by” dates of Jan. 10 or Jan. 11 and in 26-ounce packages with “best by” dates of Dec. 24 and Jan. 13.

No other Kashi or Bear Naked products are impacted by the recall.

People who have purchased the recalled product should discard it and contact Kashi for a full refund by calling 1-877-747-2467.
