CARLISLE, Pa. (WHTM) – Two people from Virginia are facing charges after a shooting incident on Interstate 81 in Cumberland County.
The incident was reported around 9:37 p.m. Tuesday.
Police say 23-year-old Tony Thomas of Middleburg, Virginia was traveling south on I-81 when he fired a shot from a semi-automatic pistol near the Middlesex Exit.
The bullet reportedly hit the passenger side window of a tractor-trailer and went through the windshield in front of the truck driver. Police say the truck driver received minor injuries when he was hit by broken glass.
Thomas is facing numerous charges including aggravated assault and recklessly endangering another person.
Police say a 36-year-old Virginia woman with Thomas, Abigail Curran, is charged with riot and disorderly conduct.
