Police: Lancaster man left loaded gun near daughter, 3

LANCASTER, Pa. (WHTM) – A city man was arrested after police said he threatened to shoot another person and then left a loaded handgun near his 3-year-old daughter.

Herbie Edmond, 36, is charged with terroristic threats, simple assault, endangering the welfare of a child, driving without a license, and a firearms offense.

Police said he pointed the gun at another person and threatened to shoot him Sunday. When officers found Edmond in his car, they said the loaded .380-caliber handgun was in plain view and within reach of the child.
