Ronks man gets prison for home burglaries while on bail

LANCASTER, Pa. (WHTM) – A Lancaster County man will serve at least seven years in prison for home burglaries in East Lampeter Township last year.

David Humphries, 35, of Ronks, burglarized one home, then posted $20,000 bail and committed three more. He was ordered to serve 7-14 years in state prison in a sentence handed down Thursday, according to District Attorney Craig Stedman’s office.

Humphries, who has a prior burglary conviction from 2007, told officials he was addicted to opioids.

Authorities said he stole small amounts of cash and electronics.
