AG Kane spokesman Chuck Ardo to resign

HARRISBURG, Pa. (WHTM) – Chuck Ardo, the spokesman for Attorney General Kathleen Kane, says he’s terminating his contract.

Ardo has been with Kane’s office for 13 months. He said Friday that he’s “tired of trying to explain the inexplicable.”

Kane is charged with perjury, obstruction and other counts for allegedly leaking secret grand jury material and lying about it under oath. Her trial is scheduled for August.

Ardo previously served as a spokesman for Harrisburg Mayor Linda Thompson and Governor Ed Rendell. He was Kane’s eighth spokesperson since she took office in 2013.
