HARRISBURG, Pa. (WHTM) – Prosecutors have withdrawn child endangerment and assault charges against a former central Pennsylvania radio show host.
Samantha Dee Eary, formerly known as DJ Sami on Hot 93.5, had been charged in February with a felony count of aggravated assault and a misdemeanor count of endangering the welfare of a child.
A criminal complaint filed by Swatara Township police stated the charges resulted from a three-month investigation that began when Eary’s 4-month-old daughter sustained a fractured skull.
Her attorney, Alan Ross, said the Dauphin County district attorney’s office reviewed the facts of the case, but it could not be determined whether the injuries caused to the child were the result of an intentional act or an accident.
Ross said it also could not be determined whether Eary had custody of her daughter when the injury occurred.
