Man charged with assaulting, holding woman against her will

STEELTON, Pa. (WHTM) – Steelton police say a man assaulted and held a woman against her will for several days.

David Flemister, who was already wanted for violing parole, is charged with unlawful restraint, simple assault, false imprisonment and flight to avoid.

Flemister avoided arrest when police responded to the scene of domestic violence incident he was involved in at a home in the 400 block of North 3rd Street.

Investigators determined Flemister assaulted and forced a woman to stay in the residence for a week.

Flemister was arrested several days later when he checked into the Harrisburg Hospital for an unrelated matter under a fictional name.
