SWATARA TOWNSHIP, Pa. (WHTM) – Loved ones will remember a Dauphin County woman who was found dead in her apartment earlier this month. The man who told police he was in a relationship with her remains behind bars and is charged with her murder.
Services for 37-year-old Tomicka Stubbs will be held at Hooper Memorial Home in Harrisburg Monday morning. Her funeral begins at 11 a.m., with a viewing starting at 10 a.m.
56-year-old Archie Lee Wright is charged with homicide and tampering with evidence.
Dauphin County Coroner Graham Hetrick says Stubbs died from a combination of stab wounds and strangulation.
Police say Wright strangled Stubbs with a bike chain and stabbed her several times. Hetrick says she had defensive wounds and put up a fight.
Stubbs was found dead in her Swatara Township apartment on May 15. Hetrick called it a crime of passion and says evidence shows the apartment was cleaned.
Surveillance video filmed Wright dumping bloody boots into the Susquehanna River.
Wright remains in Dauphin County Prison without bail. His preliminary hearing is scheduled for June 14.
