HARRISBURG, Pa. (WHTM) – The Harrisburg man accused of promoting ISIS and plotting a terror attack will be arraigned Tuesday.
Jalil Aziz was arrested in December.
According to an affidavit, Aziz was preparing to conduct or assist in an attack in the U.S. An investigation also revealed that Aziz attempted to aid ISIS supporters in traveling to Syria for the purpose of becoming ISIS fighters.
Last week, more counts were filed against Aziz. Prosecutors say Tweeted personal information about U.S. service members including their names and addresses, and photographs.
Investigators said the posts also included threats that read “kill them in their own lands, behead them in their own homes and stab them to death as they walk their street.”
During Tuesday’s arraignment, the judge will also consider whether or not to release Aziz on bail.
