Worker hit by car in construction zone

RED LION, Pa. (WHTM) – Crews responded to a report of a road construction worker hit by a car in Windsor Township.

It happened around 1:05 p.m. near a construction site in the 2900 block of Cape Horn Road.

Witnesses said a small maroon 4-door vehicle traveling northbound veered off the construction traffic way and struck a flagman, knocking him to the ground.

The man was transported to Memorial Hospital to be treated for minor injuries.

The man recalled hitting the passenger side mirror, causing it to hang as the vehicle drove off.
