BOILING SPRINGS, Pa. (WHTM) – Be observant and extra cautious: that’s the warning from the Pennsylvania Game Commission after a hiker found what the agency calls a trap on a hiking trail in Cumberland County.
Game Commission spokesman Barry Leonard is calling it a “heinous prank.” The dangerous trap was found along a trail in the State Game Land 305 in South Middleton Township.
According to Leonard, a hiker spotted a 2×4 piece of wood with multiple long screws running through it, with the points exposed facing up from the ground. There are more than 1.5 million acres where other traps could be hidden.
Anyone with information regarding this crime is asked to call the Pennsylvania Game Commission.
