Harrisburg police to announce charges in brick attack caught on camera

HARRISBURG, Pa. (WHTM) – City police say they’ve identified a young man who was recorded on video as he struck another person several times in the head with a brick.

Authorities expect to announce charges against the man and others on Tuesday.

The assault occurred during a large fight April 27 in the area of 14th & Swatara streets. The fight reportedly stemmed from a previous fight earlier in the day near Harrisburg High School.

In the video, the suspect can be seen picking up a brick and striking a male in the head several times. He then kicks the victim in the head.

Harrisburg School District officials worked with police to identify students in the video. Two girls were suspended 10 days for their alleged roles in the fight.
