PA Covered Bridge Week

The Theodore Burr Covered Bridge Society of Pennsylvania, Inc. is a non-profit organization founded in 1959 to promote and assist in the preservation of our state’s remaining covered bridges. In 1969, the Society was successful in having House Bill 33 enacted into law calling for an annual observance honoring our covered bridges. Each year since, Pennsylvania’s Governor has issued an official proclamation calling on Pennsylvania’s citizens to visit our remaining covered bridges and admire their beauty, longevity, and usefulness.
