Brothers jailed for apartment fire in Lititz

LITITZ, Pa. (WHTM) – Two brothers have been jailed for arson and related charges stemming from an apartment building fire last year.

Andrew Brown, 33, and William Hicks, 37, both of Lititz, are accused of plotting the Dec. 21 fire in the 200 block of East Lincoln Street fire to collect rental insurance money.

Brown lived in the four-unit apartment building and Hicks set the fire in his brother’s apartment, Lititz police said Friday.

Both are charged with arson, criminal conspiracy to commit arson, causing or risking a catastrophe, and reckless endangerment.

Bail for each was set at $500,000.
