HARRISBURG, Pa. (WHTM) – According to the U.S. Drug Enforcement Agency, prescription drug abusers take drugs from family and friends.
To prevent this from continuing, Drug Take Back Day was held all over the nation.
We visited one of the 22 sites here in the Midstate; one located along Linglestown Road in Harrisburg.
People were able to drop off their unused prescriptions from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday.
Last year, over 702,000 pounds of prescription drugs were collected at more than 5,000 sites.
