HARRISBURG, Pa. (WHTM) – A 17-year-old is facing a list of charges after he led police on a high-speed pursuit early Wednesday in Harrisburg.
The juvenile, who has not been named, was believed to be under the influence when police attempted to pull him over in the 3300 block of Derry Street.
Police say the teen increased his speed and ran through two red lights before he crashed his car in the 1100 block of Derry Street.
The teen received treatment for his injuries and is expected to be placed in a juvenile detention center pending a hearing.
He has been charged with theft of a motor vehicle, receiving stolen property, fleeing or attempting to elude a police officer, theft from a motor vehicle, DUI, and possession of a controlled substance.
