Woman, children pepper-sprayed in parking space dispute

HARRISBURG, Pa. (WHTM) – A Dauphin County woman has been charged for an assault that began with an argument over a parking space.

Debra James, 58, of Harrisburg, used pepper spray on another woman and the spray also hit that woman’s 5-year-old son and 2-year-old daughter, Swatara Township police said.

Police said James and the other woman were arguing Friday over a parking space at the Harrisburg Mall.

A summons of arrest was mailed to James for two counts of simple assault.
