DENVER, Pa. (WHTM) – A former nursing aide at a senior-care facility in Lancaster County is accused of stealing a patient’s credit card and racking up more than $1,500 in charges.

Rachael L. Raffe, 28, of Bernville, admitted to police that she took the card and used it for purchases, according to District Attorney Craig Stedman’s office.

The victim discovered $1,518 in purchases were made with her card in February at grocery stores, gas stations, and a fast-food restaurant. Authorities said surveillance video shows Raffe using the card.

Raffe, who was a nursing assistant at Denver Health and Rehabilitation Services, is charged with a felony count of access device fraud.

She paid full restitution at her arraignment this week.
