It is Earth Day.

Earth Day is an annual event, celebrated on April 22. Events are held worldwide to demonstrate support for environmental protection. The first “Earth Day” was observed in 1970 by millions of Americans.

It is also the first day of Harrisburg Beer Week. 

The nine-day event celebrates the local craft beer community and also raises money for a good cause.

Bernie Sanders is stopping in the Midstate today.

The Democratic candidate will be at Gettysburg College at 2 p.m. and then at Millersville University for a rally at 7:30 p.m.

Police in Dauphin County are investigating a deadly crash.

According to State Police, it happened just after 11 p.m. Thursday along Colebrook Road in Londonderry Township. Sarah Gearhart, 29, of Middletown was killed.

Harrisburg is getting $155,000 to fight crime.

The money will fund 18 months of planning and development to combat crime in the city. Harrisburg is one of 11 sites in the country to receive the Byrne Criminal Justice Innovation Grant.
