LANCASTER, Pa. (WHTM) – A Lancaster teenager has pleaded guilty to charges related to a shooting incident last year near an elementary school.
Dyland B. Quinones, 19, told police he was in a fight with his girlfriend when it happened. Quinones confessed that he blocked his ex-girlfriend’s car before firing several shots in the air.
Investigators found six shell casings at the scene near Burrowes Elementary School.
Quinones was charged with a felony count of illegal possession of a firearm and a misdemeanor count of reckless endangerment in connection with the December 27 incident.
Witnessed told police that they watched Quinones reach out his car window and fire shots into the air.
No one was injured during the incident.
Quinones was committed to Lancaster County Prison on $250,000 bail.
Judge Dennis Reinaker will order a sentence in the coming months, once a criminal background is completed.
