Police use stolen iPhone to track armed robbers

HARRISBURG, Pa. (WHTM) – Police say they tracked a trio of robbers using the iPhone they took in an armed robbery.

Doshane Donovan Davis, 21, and Julian Lavoy Brown, 19, were arrested and charged with robbery, firearms violations, and drug charges. The third male arrested was a 16-year-old who has not been named.

According to police, the group robbed a man at gunpoint Tuesday morning in the 5000 block of Stacey Drive East.

Police used the iPhone’s GPS tracker to locate the men as they were traveling on Route 22 in Lower Paxton Township.

The men were taken into custody after attempting to flee police on foot.

All stolen items from the robbery were recovered in addition to two handguns, marijuana, and heroin.
