York student sought help for small, off-campus shooting injury

YORK, Pa. (WHTM) – A student at William Penn Senior High School was transported to a hospital Tuesday after he reported he was shot off-campus, likely with a BB or pellet gun.

District spokeswoman Erin James said the injury was discovered in the morning when the student went to a school nurse. She said the student received the small wound sometime Monday while off school grounds.

She said the student appeared to have a small wound that was caused by a BB or pellet gun.
